starlights have a lot of differing opinions but at least we can all agree on one thing
- SNSD members dating revealed before Mr.Mr. promotions:
to international fans it didn’t appear to be a real scandal, but people were actually rating their crisis level as a result of the news.
- Hyoyeon’s alleged assault case & SM attempting to press charges…
this is the scene where half the group blatantly outs taeil and public mocks him for his sexual ambivalence starts during taeil’s turn to speak in response to the question about who in the group is having a hard time… start from 4:01 when taeil starts to speak about zico and says “as a man to a man” and zico challenges him with “do you really love me as a man?” and they tell stories about things that blatantly and unambiguously illustrate the fact that taeil is obviously questioning his sexuality when it comes to zico
taeil is visibly uncomfortable, zico, kyung, ukwon and p.o. are mocking him, jaehyo’s off camera (so hard for me to hard to read) and b-bomb is uncomfortable the second zico challenges taeil’s heterosexuality and is instantly looking for a way to bail him out and successfully (although unsubtly in his strategies) manages to change the subject
he saw a friend being verbally impaled and got him off the spike… that’s so important. like i don’t know if he knew or didn’t know, if they’d talked about it before or not, or whatever, or if he just knew that this was Not An Okay Thing to mock someone for, or if he didn’t care what they were mocking taeil about but just didn’t want him to get picked on when he was so obviously uncomfortable, idk idk. but it doesn’t matter, because he did the right thing (even when the laughter turned to him for not being able to explain it).
i have no idea if he considers himself queer, or a queer ally, but he did EXACTLY the right thing to do here.
the world needs more b-bombs.
